With which systems and programs is WhiteSmoke compatible?
WhiteSmoke is compatible with the following Windows Operating Systems for PC:
Windows ME / Windows2000 / Windows XP / Vista
WhiteSmoke is compatible with almost any web or desktop application that allows you to enter text, including forums, social media networks and instant messaging applications. We offer full support for MS Office 2000 and major Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

WhiteSmoke can be used on Mac via our browser version. Contact our Support Department and we will send you a different link.

Setting the WhiteSmoke Key is simple: right-click on the WhiteSmoke icon in your Taskbar (bottom right-hand side of the screen, near the clock) and choose "Settings". You may change the key that launches WhiteSmoke.
Yes. When using WhiteSmoke you need to be connected to the Internet. This is due to the fact that our artificial
intelligence database is updated on a daily basis.
Please follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Make sure you are connected to the Internet (you should be connected whenever you are using WhiteSmoke).
Please explain if you filled in your registration code and received the error message in the registration process (Start -> Programs -> WhiteSmoke -> WhiteSmoke registration -> Continue). Right click on the WhiteSmoke icon that appears by the clock and choose Settings.
Send us your User ID (appears on the right). Please inform us if you can see the 'Enrichment' button in Word. Please click on the following link and send us your IP: http://www.whatismyip.com/
If all previous steps were successful, then it may have to do with a firewall. If you have a firewall make sure to configure it so that the firewall does not block our software from communicating with the internet (ask your system administrator for help if you are not sure how to configure it).

In order to uninstall WhiteSmoke, please close Word, Outlook and Outlook Express.
Then go to Start > Settings > Control Panel. Click on Add/Remove Programs, choose WhiteSmoke, and then click Remove.
This will uninstall the program and all its components. You may also click on Start -> All programs -> WhiteSmoke -> Uninstall.
Also, please go to C:\Program Files/Whitesmoke, and delete all the files in the directory. Whitesmoke does not install any hidden spyware/adware, nor does it change the system settings.
To remove the WhiteSmoke buttons from MS Word, right-click on the toolbar in MS Word, left-click on 'Customize', click on 'WhiteSmoke' and choose delete.
Then go to Start > Settings > Control Panel. Click on Add/Remove Programs, choose WhiteSmoke, and then click Remove.
This will uninstall the program and all its components. You may also click on Start -> All programs -> WhiteSmoke -> Uninstall.

If you already have WhiteSmoke installed: Right click on the Pencil icon that appears on your taskbar (where the clock is) -> How to use -> online editor (appears on the right).
